Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How are the antigens arranged on the slide?

A: Please click on the slide schematic for this information. There is an appropriate schematic for each slide type with multiple antigens.

Q: Why are both phases of Coxiella burnetii used in Q Fever testing?

A: The two phases are used to aid in the differentiation of chronic and acute infections.

Q: Why is the positive control for this IFA kit barely positive at the screening dilution?

A: The positive controls are bottled at the screening dilution and can be titered for an endpoint from this dilution. The control should be used in the first well without further dilution.
